MyLife.com is a scam that begins with a false solicitation telling potential victims that someone is searching for them, and they can find out who by paying a small fee, the suit said. It added that users do not realize they are signing up for long-term subscriptions.

Can you opt-out of MyLife?
The worst offender: MyLife wont let you opt-out without calling the company first. Worst of all, after calling on Monday (888-704-1900) to demand my removal from the index and being asked to give my name, street address and birth date, as of Friday evening, everything was still there.
MyLife gathers personal information through public records and other sources to automatically generate a MyLife Public Page for each person. MyLife claims to provide public background data on over 325 million identities. Public pages can be edited or removed by email/phone request without paying.
