Leads receive no compensation from Nextdoor. They are not required to go through any training, and the same rules apply to them that apply to all other Nextdoor members. While their Lead status means that their account has additional features, they are not required to use those additional features.

What does the leaf mean on Nextdoor?

Nextdoor makes it easy to invite your friends and family to join. If a friend or family member joins Nextdoor via an invitation you send them, you will be given credit (e.g. the leaf icon will be displayed next to your name on your profile page) no matter which neighborhood they join.

Does nextdoor show your email address?

When you join Nextdoor, you must confirm your email address by clicking on the confirmation link that we send you in an email. Email confirmation is separate from address verification. If you do not confirm your email address right away, a red banner will appear at the top of your Newsfeed as a reminder.
